Frequently asked questions
What you need to know about Studio, briefly.
- A place where software agents work for you as an actor: Scout finds suitable castings and prepares your applications, Materials keeps your photos, CV, showreel and voice, while your casting profile is the page directors and agencies see. You decide what gets sent.
- Creating an actor profile is free and does not require a payment card. For the plans and features available to actors, agencies and professionals, see Pricing. You can find the current offer and the terms of each plan there.
- No. Agents initially run in REVIEWmode: they prepare the application and you press Send. You can change the mode on the agent's page at any time.
- From platforms, websites, casting agencies' accounts and alerts you receive by email. You see only what matches your playing age, gender, city and languages. Castings published by partner agencies appear directly, with the agency's name.
- So applications are sent from your address, on your behalf, and Studio can show you replies to applications. You use an app password (not your usual password), which you can revoke at any time. Connect it in Settings.
- This is your page with approved photos, showreel, voice samples and professional information. In Settings you choose whether to make it public or reserve it for agencies and professionals with access. A public profile can be opened without an account and may appear in search engines. Email addresses, phone numbers and CV files are not shown to visitors without an account.
- Access to your profile follows your visibility setting and existing connections. Professional contact details — email, phone number and CV files — are available to authorised accounts: the profile owner, verified professionals and agencies that are verified or connected with the actor. Contact access by agencies and professionals is recorded. An agency’s internal notes do not change your profile.
- Since Library → Casting agencies: request a connection or accept the agency’s request. The connection becomes active once accepted. You can appear in the actor module on the agency’s website if it uses the integration included in its plan. You can disconnect at any time; the connection will no longer appear in the agency’s module.
